arteteke
Melfi, Potenza Arteke in Lucanian dialect means a restless child. La Cantina was born in 2013 in Vulture from the meeting between Giulio Francesco Bagnale, president of AIAS Melfi-Matera (an association of families of people with disabilities) and Alessandro Bocchetti, gourmand and popularizer, who decided to create a farm aimed at the employment of young people with disabilities. Since 2020 the winemaker is Luca Faccenda, a young and talented Piedmontese who has decided to espouse the cause. Artekeke is a symbol of redemption and resistance, like the Bramea, the stylised butterfly in the logo, which is extremely rare and used to live exclusively around the Monticchio Lakes in the Vulture region: a warning to take flight. Artekeke's wines are deep and pure expression of a wild and volcanic terroir.
