Grape Debt

The Debit grape is a white berry native to northern Croatia and more specifically Dalmatia, where it is also known as Puljižinac. As its name implies, it falls into the category of those grapes that were historically used as currency in this area, and in terms of freshness and aromaticity it is reminiscent of Bombino Bianco, although there are no genetic studies confirming any kinship between the two varieties. Normally, Uva Debit is used to make light, easy-drinking wines, but thanks to its excellent acidity, it is also an excellent base for sparkling wines. Wines made from Uva Debit are particularly suitable for pairing with fish dishes.
