Mutènice, South Moravia Jaroslav Tesarìk and his wife Pavlína are two garage owners who cultivate one and a half hectares of vines in Mutènice, South Moravia. In these scarcely 15,000 square metres and 6500 plants, however, there are several indigenous varieties such as Neuburger, Sankt Laurent and Blauer Portuguiser, and the ever-present Müller Thurgau, which is right at home in these soils. In the vineyard, treatments are minimal, with sulphur, copper and herbal preparations, while in the wine cellar, natural vinification is favoured, with ageing in oak barrels and no addition of sulphites.
