Caudiès de Fenouillèdes, Roussillon
Alain Carrère founded the company in 1992 with his wife Agnes. The winery is built on 30 hectares mainly on shale soil, with sapling plantings. Initially the production was designed for large-scale distribution, but the meeting with Tom Lubbe from Matassa definitely changed the horizons.
The rebirth of the company passes through the conversion to organic, strongly desired by Tom, and the use of only native yeasts for winemaking. The Rebirth of Domaine de Majas is represented by clear, lively and delicious wines.
