Jean started taking care of the family business in 1982 after buying a house on the famous Cote du Py, an extinct volcano with unique characteristics. There are 15 hectares under vine, pampered in a natural way, without systemic chemistry and with very low doses of sulphur and copper, which gradually give way to the use of essential oils.
The company has two extraordinary crus, Fleurie and Morgon, among the 10 best in Beaujolais, on the west bank of the Seine, the last being perhaps the most prestigious.
He immediately revolutionized the company by breaking away from the stereotype of Beaujolais, which was on the market in those years and which was produced by his colleagues. Over the years Foillard has become a reference point in the world of the production of these wines.
