Vedrijan (Slovenia) Marinic is located in the Slovenian Collio, one of the most suitable terroirs in the world for white wines since the times of Maria Theresa of Austria. The winery was born from the encounter between the Marinic family and Charles-Louis de Noüe, a young Frenchman in love with Goriska Brda (Slovenian Collio), and with an important experience as co-owner of Domaine Leflaive in Burgundy.
Here he produces sustainable and personal wines, with every sip you can perceive the respect and passion for this territory that represents a large slice of European wine tradition. These wines are the encounter between the family's deep-rooted experience in the cultivation of vines in these territories and the French vision and expertise of Charles-Louis de Noüe, built up over decades of managing Domaine Leflaive in Puligny Montrachet. Collio is one of the most suitable terroirs in the world for white wines. The Marinic project was in fact born from the encounter between Marinic rises in Vedrijan, near the castle of Dobrovo, a place where there are traces of wine production movements since 1787.
