CANTO, the Cannellino di Frascati DOCG by Merumalia, comes from Malvasia del Lazio and Bombino grapes grown on volcanic soil, respecting the environment and the landscape. Once ripe, the shoots intended for this wine are cut and left in the vineyard to dry. The dried grapes are harvested and transformed into sweet wine, which is refined in barriques for at least 6 months. It pairs perfectly with mature cheeses and dry pastries. We are in the Castelli Romani, on the ancient Lake Regillo, an agricultural landscape a few kilometers from the capital. The Fusco family passionately deals with the production of wines from native Frascati grapes, they do so in an absolutely organic and environmentally friendly way.
The company philosophy is closely linked to theterroir, the wines are a unique expression of it, thanks to the soil, the climate and the work done in the vineyard.
The vineyard must be worked according to the principles of sustainability and as such bequeathed to future generations.
The wines stand out for character, elegance and strong personality, combined with extremely high professionalism in production. The climatic conditions and the composition of the soil where the vineyards grow allow us to obtain very mineral, savory and persistent wines, both fresh and fruity whites, as well as herbaceous and soft reds.
