The decision to produce in a sustainable and biodynamic way has led the company to adopt a cultivation method that goes beyond the concept of organic farming, as it renounces all chemical intervention in the vineyard.
Biodynamic practice places the soil at the centre of the agricultural universe, and through the use of totally natural biodynamic preparations (dynamised with water) is able to preserve the soil and make it fertile.
Palazzo Tronconi is certified by ICEA and DEMETER.
In the vineyard are grown ancient Arcesi vines such as Lecinaro and Ulivello nero, Pampanaro, Capolongo and Maturano bianco, and other varieties such as Malvasia Puntinata, Moscato di Terracina and Syrah. They are cultivated in a balance between sky and earth according to the dictates of biodynamic agriculture.
The cellar covers 1000 m2 and is located in the basement: vinification room, barrel room, place for storing bottles and kitchen area. This is where the magic happens: all the wines are fermented spontaneously and aged in concrete tanks, terracotta amphorae or in oak or acacia wood. The wine does not undergo any intervention, in fact clarification and filtration are banned.
The wines are bottled in strict accordance with the phases of the moon.
