Caroline Pobitzer is a woman from Alto Adige with a passion for Tuscany and good wine. She decided to move to Montalcino and set up a winery, Pian dell'Orino. Her advisor was a German agronomist and oenologist, Jan Hendrik Erbach, but their relationship soon turned into love, and now the couple, more passionate and determined than ever, is together in the saddle of the winery.
In the 6 hectares of the biodynamic farm, the only vine grown, and pampered, is Sangiovese.
Everything at Pian dell'Orino, from the vineyard to the cellar, is aimed at allowing this noble grape variety to express itself at the highest level, producing fleshy, savoury and sober wines, the fruit of Mediterranean passion and Teutonic precision. Fruit above all of wisdom and patience!

Produced from Sangiovese grapes selected within the winery, including those from the volcanic areas of the nearby Monte Amiata, Piadorino is a wine that knows how to age very well, of great class, with fruity and intense aromas due to the clayey soil from which the grapes come. The age of the vineyards involved, Cancello Rosso, Pian dell'Orino and Pian Bassolino, ranges from 10 to almost 20 years. It ferments for about 9 days at a maximum of 29°C and matures 18 months in 12.5 hl oak casks.
Bouquet piacevole ed intenso, ampio. Frutta rossa, sottobosca e fiori a petalo scuro. Sbuffi balsamici e vegetali. Speziato.
Generoso di corpo e di sapore, fresco e con un gran tannino in via di evoluzione, persistente
Temperatura di servizio 18°-20°
Pappardelle al Ragù di Cinghiale
