Cascina Roccalini is located in Barbaresco in the heart of the Langhe, spread over almost 5 hectares of vineyards. The owner is the young Paolo Vaglio, a farmer since he was 14 years old and now a proud Nebbiolo producer.
Until 2004 Paolo produced grapes that were then given to Bruno Giacosa; since 2005 he decided to try his luck on his own, and the facts are giving him reasons to sell.
The winery's approach is absolutely natural and the style is refined. Over the years, the ancient technique of the submerged cap has been dusted off for the vinification of Barbaresco, which gives the wines more structure.
In 2011 also comes the first Riserva
Barbaresco Roccalini is a red wine produced by Cascina Roccalini in Barbaresco, Langhe, and made from pure Nebbiolo grapes. Manual harvesting and spontaneous fermentation in cement by indigenous yeasts, using the submerged cap technique. After 3 months it is racked into oak barrels for 18 months, and then bottled with minimal intervention. Barbaresco Roccalini is a riot of underwood scents on the nose, including floral notes and jammy red and dark fruits, then hazelnut and finally earthy and spicy notes. In the mouth it is elegant and velvety, fresh and long. Goes well with a nice truffle beef tagliata.

Native yeasts and spontaneous fermentation in cement with submerged cap until late December. It then matures in oak barrels for 18 months. It is then bottled without clarification or filtration.
Naso di rosa e viola, frutti rossi come la ciliegia, quasi sotto spirito, poi sottobosco, nocciola, ritorni minerali e sbuffi speziati
Una bomba, di grande struttura con tannini vellutati e tanta eleganza. Il sorso risulta sempre fresco ed il finale piacevolmente lungo
Temperatura di servizio 18°-20°
Tagliata di manzo con tartufo bianco
Un grande Barbaresco, fatto come una volta
