French region much loved for its whites, located in the central-eastern area of ​​France, on the border with Germany from which it is divided by the long course of the Rhine river.

Most of the vineyards are located on the Rhine side, Haut Rhin; the climate, unlike what one might imagine, is among the driest and sunniest in France, thanks to the presence of the Vosges chain to the west. This also determines a great thermal and altimetric variety, with territories ranging from plains, hills and mountains.

The variety of the soil also deserves importance, in fact volcanic rocks, granite, clay and marl coexist.

Among the most used varieties we find Reisling, Gewurztraminer and Sylvaner.
