Altare Langhe Barbera 2021
🍾 Langhe Barbera
🖼️ Dogliani, Piedmont
🏡 Nicholas Altare
🛁 The grapes come from vines planted in 1965 on clay with southern exposure between 300 and 350 metres above sea level. Harvesting is manual, alcoholic fermentation and maceration with the skins for 15 days in cement, then 3 months in Slavonian oak barrels and finally 15 months in cement.
👃🏻 Rose and violet petals, red fruits, undergrowth with mineral and spicy notes
👅 Freshness and tannin at the right point, without overdoing it, excellent body, elegant sip and a persistent finish
👍🏻 Serving temperature 18°-20°.
😍 Like all Nicholas wines, great wine at a small price

We are in DoglianiIn San Luigi, in the centre of the Dolcetto di Dogliani growing area, Nicholas Altare cultivates his family's vineyards, some of which are very old.
Nicholas has "inherited" a company handed down from generation to generation, he has always had a strong passion for this world, but it is after knowing a master such as Principiano Ferdinando, who started making artisanal wine for bottling.
It's 2015 and Nicholas just didn't want to see his grapes sold in bulk, and that's when the journey began.
