Arbois Straight no Chaser is a white wine produced by Hughes Beguet in Mesnay, Jura, and obtained from Chardonnay and Savagnin grapes at 300 meters above sea level and coming from two different vineyards. The first in Mesnay sur Lias, rich in clay and blue and gray marl, and the second in Arbois, completely on limestone. The harvest is manual, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, with maceration for about a week, then in exhausted barrels for 6 months to refine before bottling, which takes place without filtration, clarification or addition of sulfur dioxide. Arbois Straight no Chaser 2023 is a straight and tense wine in the mouth, fresh and persistent, with olfactory hints that veer from citrus to apple, from ginger to sweet spice. To pair with typical local cheeses!
