Barat is a white wine obtained from the very rare Bratuciat grapes, produced by Iuli in Montaldo di Cellina, in Piedmont. The grapes come from clay-limestone soils at 250 meters above sea level, they slowly ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and then refine in concrete for 12 months, finally they are bottled without filtration or clarification. Citrus and floral, hints of dried fruit on the nose, in the mouth it is fresh, savory and juicy. It can remind you of Riesling and this really surprised us, we happily pair it with a sea bream

The grapes come from a north-facing vineyard on clay and limestone soil at 250 m above sea level. Harvested in the first week of September, they ferment spontaneously and very slowly (until the beginning of February) after a night in the cold and then remain in concrete for 12 months. No clarification or filtration.
Notes of Citrus and White Flowers, Hazelnuts and Pine Nuts
Fresh and juicy on the palate, savory and with perfectly integrated alcohol
Serving temperature 10°-12°
It goes beautifully with canapés and also with delicate fish such as sea bream
It is a practically forgotten native vine of Monferrato but capable, in our opinion, of also recalling Riesling in some ways. Surprising!

“I was born here and have always lived here. I like to work wines in the Piedmontese tradition (in concrete and wood). Starting
of the white earth and the minerality of the soil, I try to make light wines. I like wines that are easy to drink, not banal,
possibly elegant, fresh, dynamic and crisp.”
Words and music by Fabrizio Iuli, one of the most inspired Piedmontese producers; the direction
company is aimed at valorising native Piedmontese varieties, such as Slarina and Baratuciat.
