Barbaresco Bric Balin is a red wine produced by Moccagatta in Barbaresco, in the Langhe; it is obtained with pure Nebbiolo grapes, which come from one of the company’s Crus, harvested by hand with spontaneous fermentation and maceration for a few days in steel. The refinement lasts 18 months in non-first passage wood, and finally rests in the bottle for a further 9 months. Barbaresco Bric Balin is one of our favorite Barbarescos because it boasts an amazing value for money, thanks also to its warm and generous sip, elegant and long, with a nose that turns on balsamic hints of liquorice, black spices and roasting. Try it with venison stew

Barbaresco, Langhe
The Moccagatta company has a long winemaking tradition, which takes us back to the mid-19th century. Today he is Sergio Minuto
who continues with passion the business that his ancestors began together with their nephew Stefano and daughter Martina.
In the heart of the Langhe, in the municipality of Barbaresco, the company owns 15 hectares, of which 12 are planted with vineyards
divided between the Nebbiolo (6.5 hectares), Barbera (2.5 hectares), Dolcetto (1.5 hectares) and Chardonnay (1.5 hectares) vines for a
average production of 67,000 bottles. The lands, located at an average altitude of 250 meters above sea level, are characterized
from the “Marne di Sant’Agata”, a geological formation dating back to the Tortonian, composed of bluish clays
limestone particularly suitable for the cultivation of vines. The search for productive balance is one
particular care of the plants, from pruning to summer thinning of the bunches, combined with the use of modern machines
Cellar structures and equipment were fundamental for obtaining quality wines
