Montefalco Bianco Sperella 2019, Trebbiano Spoletino
The free-run must of the grapes from the youngest company vineyard ferments at a controlled temperature with only indigenous yeasts, the wine matures for at least 5 months on the fine lees before being bottled. Fresh, tasty and smooth.
Montefalco Rosso Pomontino 2018, Sangiovese
A truly convincing Rosso di Montefalco: from only native vines vinified from whole grapes with indigenous yeasts, it has a very different profile from that of Montefalco Sagrantino. A Sangiovese rich in nuances, characterized by silky tannins and vivid freshness that give a smooth drink. Sagrantino adds complexity and structure. One year in large Slavonian oak barrels and at least 6 months in the bottle, unfiltered.
Sagrantino di Montefalco Collenottolo 2013
From vineyards planted on soils where clay alternates with marly and sandy formations. The bunches are simply destemmed and subsequently placed in wooden vats where they ferment in contact with the skins for about 20 days. The wine ages in large barrels of at least 30 hectoliters for 36 months. Elegant and austere, no space left for sweet and vanilla notes. Balanced mouth with tannins that seem Piedmontese in design.
Trebbiano Spoletino Arneto 2017
From a native grape that finds its best expression on soils where clay alternates with marly and arenaceous formations. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in 50 hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels and matures on the lees for at least 6 months. Bottled without filtration, it ages in the bottle for several months. Structure, pulp, acidity and flavor integrate perfectly with each other.
Torre del Colle, (Umbria)
Tenuta Bellafonte is located near Bevagna, in the uncontaminated heart of Umbria, near the village of Torre del Colle. The vineyards are located at a height varying between 260 and 320 meters above sea level. and are built on rocky terrain in which clay alternates with marly and arenaceous formations. Incredible to think that 2008 is only the first year of production of this beautiful Umbrian reality.
