Caparzo is one of the historic wineries of Montalcino, founded in 1970 by a group of friends passionate about Tuscany and wine. Being one of the top 12 wineries in Montalcino, Caparzo contributed significantly to the creation of the myth of Brunello di Montalcino.
In 1977, Caparzo introduced the concept of “cru” in the Montalcino area, vinifying grapes from different geographical areas of the production area. This choice allowed us to make the most of the different microclimates and terroirs present in Montalcino, creating a complex wine that combines the characteristics that have made Brunello one of the most appreciated wines in the world.

Caparzo is one of the historic wineries of Montalcino, with one of the first vintages of Brunello di Montalcino dating back to 1970. Today they are one of the few companies to boast ownership of vineyards in different geographical areas of the production area, which allows them to exploit to the maximum the different microclimates and terroirs of the region.
The grapes are carefully selected to create a complex wine that incorporates all the characteristics that make Brunello one of the most appreciated wines in the world. The winemaking involves alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature, followed by delestage and pumping over. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously after racking. The refinement takes place in wooden barrels for at least 2 years, followed by a period of 4 months in the bottle.
Brunello di Montalcino Caparzo is a wine with a ruby red color that tends to garnet with aging, a penetrating and broad aroma and a dry, warm and well-balanced flavour. It pairs perfectly with roasts, grilled meats and mature cheeses. We recommend serving it at a temperature of 18°C, uncorking it 1-2 hours before serving.
