Brutal is an orange wine produced by Nando in Dobrovo v Brdih in Slovenia and obtained from Friulano, Malvasia and rebula grapes grown in an area rich in ponca, and harvested by hand. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins for 40 days followed by a year of aging in large, non-first passage wood. It is then bottled without any type of addition. Brutal on the nose is deep and complex, with various variations of exotic fruit and evolved floral scents, then balsamic and spicy, earthy and mineral notes. In the mouth it is full-bodied but agile and dynamic, crazy; and then it is right to combine it with Kranjska klobasa, the Carniolan sausage.

The grapes come from soils rich in ponca, the fermentation is spontaneous with maceration for 40 days and aging in large, non-first passage wood for at least 12 months. Bottled without filtration or clarification with minimal additions of sulfur dioxide depending on the vintage. Total sulfur <10 mg/l
Complex and broad, very aromatic with evolved hints of white and yellow flowers, exotic, ripe and dried fruit, it even recalls dates. Sweet spices, balsamic and mineral notes

Dobrovo v Brdih, Slovenia
Nando Winery is a Slovenian but strongly Italian company, in fact, of the 6 hectares of the company, more than half are located in the Italian Collio, the rest in the Brda.
The Deus ex Machina is Andrej Kristancic, the latest generation of a historic family of winemakers in the area. Andrej also trained in Italy and through his studies he managed to identify with a production approach that is faithful to tradition but modern.
The terroir is sensational, the soil rich in ponca, the continental climate with marine influences; the vines are between 10 and 40 years old, grown on terraces at 200 meters above sea level with local and international grapes.
Nando is not certified organic but the production is absolutely natural from the vineyard to the cellar where, as the only exception of style, homeopathic quantities of sulfur dioxide are added before bottling.
Nando is present on the market with 2 different lines: Blu which indicates wines produced in steel with short macerations on the skins and Nera, on the contrary, which involves long macerations and aging in exhausted wood
