Vines between 10 and 20 years old from a plot that sees alternating sandstone and marl on a rock base. Fermented in steel, aged for a year in 10/15 hl Slavonian oak barrels.
Great space for the Marl of the soil which we find on the nose, then Rose and Violet, almost ripe red fruits, undergrowth and light spicy notes
Full-bodied yet fresh and easy on the palate, the tannin is barely noticeable, long and savory
Serving temperature 18°-20°
Sliced beef with blueberry jam and aromatic herbs
It’s Slovenian but looks like it’s from Burgundy
Podnanos, Vipava Valley, Slovenia
The Lavrencic family has been producing wine since 1499, and now it is up to Primoz, the latest generation to carry on the family tradition. He does it in a way that he defines as modern and traditional, concepts that for him coincide.
Burja climbs between wind and rock, and sets some production rules that cannot be derogated from:
- Plant integrity, rather than intervention
- Respect for local varieties
- Promote vineyard biodiversity
- Poor control in production processes
Primoz has a dream, which is becoming reality thanks to the contribution of many local winemakers, that of making the whole world know and appreciate the Terroir of the Vipava Valley, capable of offering absolute pearls.
Like the ones that Primoz produces!
