Nu Litr Orange is an orange wine produced by Valentina Passalacqua in Apicerna, Apulia, through her Calcarius Project. The grapes come from an area rich in white Kimmeridge stones and limestone subsoil; spontaneous fermentation in contact with the skins for 7/8 days, with the cap being broken by hand. Matured for 6 months in steel tanks, and finally bottled. Nu Litr Orange is a hymn to the Mediterranean maquis through flowers, fruit and herbs, while on the palate it is clean, fresh and savoury. Its hints of oriental spices make it perfect in combination with curry rice.
