Valpago del Montello
It is with hands dyed with the red earth of Montello that the Pozzobon family created Case Paolin. Emilio, the founder, a farmer and son of farmers, purchased the estate where his father and grandfather before him had worked as sharecroppers in the early 1970s. Having abandoned the silkworms, he dedicates himself completely to the vineyard and passes this passion on to his three children: Diego, Adelino and Mirco who today manage the company.
ORGANIC PHILOSOPHY When, in the 1980s, “organic” was not yet a magic word, the Pozzobon brothers decided to throw away the fixed date calendars and learn to listen only to the needs of their plants. They were thus among the very first in the area to drastically reduce the use of chemicals in the vineyard. The long journey they undertook with great commitment and conviction towards the conversion to organic was crowned in 2012 by obtaining certification. And it continues every day.
PRODUCTION TERRITORIES Two historically important territories, close to each other, but very different, give life to Case Paolin wines. On the one hand, the gray pebbles of the Belvedere plain which once served as a bed for a branch of the Piave river and which give the base wines produced on them an irresistible freshness.
On the other side, the red lands of the Montello hill, ferrous and sanguine lands from which wines are obtained
complex and long-lived.
