Valpago del Montello
It is with hands tinged with the red soil of Montello that the Pozzobon family created Case Paolin. Emilio, the founder, farmer's son, in the early 1970s bought the estate where his father and grandfather before him had worked as sharecroppers. Having abandoned silkworms, he devoted himself completely to the vineyard and passed this passion on to his three children: Diego, Adelino and Mirco, who now run the company.
BIO PHILOSOPHY When, in the 1980s, 'organic' was not yet a magic word, the Pozzobon brothers decided to throw away their calendars and learn to listen only to the needs of their plants. They were thus among the very first in the area to drastically reduce the use of chemicals in the vineyard. The long journey they undertook with great commitment and conviction towards conversion to organic farming was crowned in 2012 by obtaining certification. And it continues every day.
PRODUCTION TERRITORIES Two historically important territories, close to each other but very different, give life to the wines of Case Paolin. On the one hand, the grey pebbles of the Belvedere plain that once formed the bed of a branch of the Piave river and give the base wines produced on them an irresistible freshness.
On the other side are the red lands of the Montello hill, iron and sanguine lands from which wines are obtained
complex and long-lived.
