Aymavilles, Aosta
Immersed in the heart of the Alps, at the foot of Mont Blanc, the Aosta Valley offers a breathtaking panorama where
culture, tradition and food and wine blend perfectly to create unique and refined products. Born here
the Cave des Onze Communes, a winery that boasts one of the highest wine productions in Europe,
thanks to the 60 hectares of vineyards, extremely parceled out, distributed over the territory of 11 municipalities: Quart, Saint-
Christophe, Aosta, Sarre, Saint Pierre, Villeneuve, Introd, Aymavilles, Jovençan, Gressan, Charvensod.
Located in l’Adret and l’Envers of the Dora Baltea, the villages listed touch altitudes reaching between 550 and 900 meters above sea level, offering vineyards of extraordinary beauty, but extremely impervious, where it is impossible to mechanise, thus telling decades-long stories of toil and sweat and making Aosta Valley viticulture rare of its kind.
An incessant and delicate work that begins with the high vineyards, strictly native and with the correct use of agronomic practices.
The surface area, 70% of which is occupied by the production of D.o.c. wines, guarantees not only excellent quality wines, but the important redevelopment of the rural territory, otherwise destined for complete abandonment, thus encouraging the planting of vineyards in the terraced areas.
A wine-growing panorama of enormous richness, made even more fascinating by the slope of the vines, the position and the difficult climate of the winter months. The vineyards, managed in full organic farming, are the great result of winemakers and professionals in the sector, who pay particular attention to all phases of creation: from the vegetative cycle to bottling and labelling, giving life to 20 typologies of wines
