Coste della Sesia Castellengo 2015, Nebbiolo
From a vineyard between 250 and 300 meters above sea level. Sea sand, gravel and marl. After destemming and soft crushing, the grapes ferment in steel in contact with the skins for 20 days. The wine is aged for 24 months in oak barrels and another 12 months in bottle. Elegant and fine from the nose. Delicate sweet spices, leather, and a very light note of liquorice. Sleek mouthfeel, with tannins present but harmonious. Very tasty
The Pink 2017 and 2021 Nebbiolo
From vineyards in Castellengo and Mottalciata, destemming and soft pressing of the skins are followed by natural fermentation in open vats with subsequent ageing in cement vats for 5 months. Slender, tannic and convincing.
Miranda 2021, Erbaluce
Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts, refined in cement vats. Fresh and elegant, with good persistence.

The first documents that talk about this company date back to 1682, the year in which there is a document listing how many presses, barrels and vats were located inside the crote of Castellengo.
Production continued unabated until 1940 and then stopped until 1999, the year in which the new owners took over the company.
Their passion for the archaeological recovery of ancient vineyards in the area has led them to the rediscovery and enhancement of numerous micro-vineyards.
It's worth a visit.
