🛁 The grapes come from gravel-rich soil, the grapes are harvested manually and then fermented in steel tanks with a maceration period of over 3 weeks. Maturation is for at least 18 months in barriques, half of which are new.

👃🏻 Withered red flowers and berries, wet leaves and stony returns, spicy and with balsamic memories

👅 Powerful and elegant, fresh and savoury, the tannin is vigorous and the finish long

Saint Estephe, Bordeaux

The name of the estate comes from its geographical location on the hill of Cos and from the name of François Labory, who was its first owner until 1845. Mr d'Estournel bought it before selling it back to an English banker, Charles Martyns in 1852. The property was finally taken over by George Weber in the 1930s, who bequeathed it to his daughter and son-in-law, François Audoy, in 1959.

In 1971, the couple also bought the neighbouring estate, Château Andron Blanquet. Their children worked with them on the two estates for a number of years, until the elder of the two, Bernard, took over management of the properties. Bernard is a strong and practical manager with a calm and reassuring manner. He has always lived in Saint-Estèphe and is perfectly emblematic of his estate, its wines and the appellation he has presided over since 2000.

Chateau Cos Labory spreads over eighteen hectares at the top of the Cos hill, made up of Quaternary gravel soils and exceptional drainage. The density of vines per hectare is high.

Over time, changes have gradually taken place through substantial investments in technology, in particular a state-of-the-art vat and a new wine cellar.
