The grapes come from soil rich in gravel, the grapes are harvested manually and subsequently ferment in steel tanks with a maceration of over 3 weeks. The refinement lasts at least 20 months in barriques, of which 30% are new, with 7 rackings in total.
Lots of black fruit on the nose, especially blackcurrant and blackberry, then dried violet, stony and salty notes with mineral returns and balsamic memories
Subtle and elegant, with vigorous tannins. The body is well balanced and the finish pleasantly long
Serving temperature 18°-20°
Braised veal
Precious, at least for the soul

Saint Julien, Bordeaux
The name of the company takes inspiration from the ancient presence of a mill in the area, and from the name, Chavalier LaRose, of the then owner of the nearby Chateau Gruaud Rose, in the 18th century.
In 1971 the Chateau was purchased by Guy Delon and now run by his two children, Jean Francois and Guylene.
It can count 5 hectares of vineyards, which earns it the nickname of the Lilliputian of Saint Julien, surrounded as it is by Grand Cru Classes.
It is said to be able to count on the best gravel plots in the entire area. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are bred here in a natural and biodynamic way.
The estate’s wines are generous and tannic, fine and elegant
