Tschida is an Austrian winery whose wines are rapidly reaching worldwide prominence among natural wine enthusiasts and beyond.
Christian Tschida is a son of the family and the last of four generations of winegrowers in Illmitz, on the Austrian shores of the Neusiedlersee in Burgunland.
There are 10 hectares under vine and just as many years as a producer for the young and talented Austrian.
The winery aims for a unique style, to produce wines with personality that can also be long-lived, always in the name of naturalness and minimal human intervention in the vineyard as well as in the cellar.
Zero systemic chemistry between the rows, therefore, and use of indigenous yeasts to trigger the spontaneous fermentations that will then lead to bottling the wine without clarification or filtration, without even homeopathic additions of pre-bottling sulphur dioxide.
Christian Tschida wants to impress and with us he has succeeded very well, truly a super vigneron!
