Cirò Rosato 2022 Cerminara

Cirò Rosato is a rosé wine from Cerminara in Cirò Marina, Calabria. It is produced with Gaglioppo grapes, for which half of the mass is pressed immediately while the other macerates for a few hours on the skins, the fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts. Refines in steel for at least 3 months. Cirò Rosato expresses hints of violet and blood orange on the nose, in the mouth it is fresh and agile. Ideal if you are looking for a gastronomic rosé for fish but with spaghetti with garlic, oil and ‘nduja it is unforgettable

The grapes come from a calcareous clay soil with southern exposure, the harvest is manual and takes place in the first week of September, 50% is made up of free-run must, the second half settles for 12 hours on the skins, refines for at least 3 months in steel before bottling

Hints of violet and orange peel, mineral with balsamic hints of myrtle

Cirò Marina, Calabria

Pierpaolo and Sergio, the Cerminara brothers, grew up among the vineyards but until 2015 they did something else with their lives; the first mechanical engineer, the second pharmacist.

The estate boasts 6 hectares distributed between hills and plains within the Cirò Doc, the first vineyards were planted by the grandfather 60 years ago, the others by the father and uncle in the following years.

The rules that make up the company philosophy are few and simple: obsessive and organic care of the vineyard and the fruit, lots of supervision and minimal intervention in order to preserve the natural processes of transformation of the must into wine.

Cerminara is part of the Cirò Revolution, a virtuous and artisanal movement, which aims to give visibility and prestige to a historical and exceptionally valuable terroir. The result is wines faithful to the character of the territory and of the highest quality, the first harvest dates back to 2020.
