🛁 The grapes come from nearly 80-year-old vines on soil rich in clay and limestone, ferment in steel tanks, then age for about two years in barriques not used for the first time. Finally bottle

👃🏻 It opens with floral hints of violets and very ripe dark fruits, but also cedar and hints of black olives, stony with returns of graphite and dark spicy notes

👅 Full and enveloping, with an elegant body, the tannin is velvety and the finish is long and enjoyable

👍🏻 Serving temperature 18°-20°.

Pomerol, Bordeaux

The history of the Eglise Clinet dates back to the early 19th century, and has been conducted by Denis Durantou since 1983.

At the time, Monsieur Mauleon-Rouchut, an ancestor of Denis, had managed to unite the family plots of Clos dell'Eglise with those of Chateau Clinet, which had previously belonged to the Constant family, creating the company as we know it today.

The estate has 4 hectares and vines, some of which are 75 years old, from which the Chateau produces very fine wines that are at the top of the Pomerol AOC, on a par with other very important names such as Chateau Petrus.

The approach to viticulture is extremely natural, no systemic chemicals are used and human intervention is limited. Harvesting is manual with meticulous selection of suitable bunches.

In the wine cellar, vinification takes place in steel tanks while ageing takes place in oak barrels that are not used for the first time.

Production is very limited, at just under 10,000 bottles per year.

Denis' wines are rich and enveloping, pure expressions of an amazing terroir.
