From clay-limestone soils, this Barolo comes only from grapes from a specific sub-area of Roddi, from which N.I.C.B.A.,. Since 2017, grapes from a famous and extensive vineyard in Monforte d’Alba have been used and since 2019 also a virginal balance of La Morra. The vinification is in steel with a submerged cap for the last part of maceration. Matured in 700 liter barrels and used barriques for 18 months. Subsequently ceramic amphora and concrete tank for another 12 months. Since 2017, maturation can take place in Austrian oak barrels.
Complex nose of Rose and Hazelnut, then small red fruits, undergrowth, foliage, hints of Truffle and lots of Marnic minerality. Ethereal, on the finish there are smoky, licorice and tobacco notes
Incredibly easy sip, the body is full and the tannins are noble, the finish is very persistent
Serving temperature 18°-20°
Beef Fillet with Green Pepper and White Truffle
Different and exciting
