Barolo N.I.C.B.A. is a red wine by GianLuca Colombo made from pure Nebbiolo grapes, produced in Roddi in the Langhe. The grapes come from prestigious plots of land between La Morra and Monforte, are vinified in stainless steel tanks with submerged cap with spontaneous fermentation by indigenous yeasts and matured in wood not of first passage. A very rich nose, elegant and ripe on the palate, with silky tannins and a very long finish. Crazy olfactory complexity for this wine to be paired with a great green pepper filet

🛁 From clayey-calcareous soils, this Barolo comes only from grapes in a specific subzone of Roddi, hence N.I.C.B.A., . From 2017, grapes from a famous and extensive vineyard in Monforte d'Alba are used, and from 2019 also a virgin balance from La Morra. Vinification is in steel with submerged cap for the last part of maceration. It matures in 700-litre barrels and used barriques for 18 months. Then ceramic amphora and cement vats for a further 12 months. From 2017, maturation may take place in Austrian oak barrels.

👃🏻 Complex nose of Rose and Hazelnut, then small red fruits, undergrowth, foliage, returns of Truffle and lots of marl minerality. Ethereal, smoky, liquorice and tobacco notes on the finish

👅 Incredibly easy on the palate, the body is full and the tannins noble, the finish very persistent

👍🏻 Serving temperature 18°-20°.
