Pithos Rosso è un vino rosso prodotto da Azienda Agricola Cos a Vittoria, in Sicilia, ed ottenuto da Nero d’Avola in purezza. Le uve provengono da terre ricche rosse ricche di sabbia e calcare, dopo la vendemmia manuale vengono diraspate e lasciate fermentare spontaneamente con lieviti autoctoni in anfora, dove macerano per 8 mesi, successivamente il vino viene messo in bottiglia con un’aggiunta omeopatica di anidride solforosa, e qui riposa circa 6 mesi. Pithos Rosso è un vino conviviale perfetto per una grigliata tra amici, ha però un animo profondo, deciso e compelsso, mentre il corpo è leggerissimo. Al naso sono inebrianti la visciola, la prugna e la ciliegia.

🛁 The grapes are Nero d'Avola di Vittoria planted in sandy-calcareous soils, the harvest takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October, characteristic of this wine is the maceration on the skins for at least 8 months entirely in amphora

👅 Fresh but with low Ph and strong tannin, light but complex body, long and satisfying finish

They profess the Biodynamic "faith" and minimal intervention in the vineyard.

Theirs is also very interesting with the Spanish amphorae purchased 20 years ago
