Pithon-Paille "Dessus Narçay" Chinon 2013, Cabernet Franc

It comes from 50 year old vines, the nose is rustic, dominated by red fruits, then wet leaves, mushrooms and puffs of horse mane. The taste is solid, very fresh and tannic. The finish is long and pleasant.

Bourgueil Graviers Rouge 2011 and 14, Cabernet Franc

Aromaticity of berries on the nose, red petal flowers, hints of balsamic and herbaceous return. The palate is full, satisfied, consistent with the nose, with the pleasantness of red fruits. Spectacular freshness that makes it compulsively drinkable.

Grolo Rouge 2020Blend of native varieties

It comes from a blend of indigenous grapes of the area, lots of fruit on the nose as well as in the throat, spicy. Excellent minerality that gives structure to the wine and counterbalances the very good freshness. Soft tannins, long finish.

Domaine Belargus - (Pithon- Paillé) - Saint-Lambert du Lattay - Loire (France)

The Domaine Pithon-Paillépossesses 26 hectares of vines, and is located in St. Lambert Du Lattay in the Loire Valley,
about 25 km south of Angers.

Jo- Pihon, with retirement time approaching, sold the winery in 2018 to young Ivan Massonnat, a great wine lover, but continues to work at the winery as a consultant. Ivan changed the name to the winery, 'Chateau Belargus', in honour of Jo's favourite wine 'Belargus de
Treilles'.

Jo-Pithon revolutionized Anjou in the early 90s by practicing precision viticulture from which
produced wines of character, sometimes extreme, that excited the curious and the amateur alike. With his wife Isabelle Paillé,
has expanded its field of action and the Pithon-Paillé estate has become a real reference point for large and small companies.

The Chenin Blanc grape variety in the Loire region, from different soils and appellations, produces a variety of wines ranging from dry to semi-dry to sweet/bottled. This non-aromatic vine wonderfully translates the "Terroir" of origin. The vines are worked manually using organic farming methods.

The harvest is carried out in several stages in order to collect the grapes at the right moment of ripeness or drying.

For sweet wines, the main objective is not the quantity of sugars, but the search for the aromas and flavours imparted
to wine from the magic of botrytis cinerea.
