🍷 Red Wine

🛁 The grapes come from sandy, clay and siliceous soils, fermentation (alcoholic and malolactic) in cement casks with 3 weeks' maceration. The 50% then matures one year in cement and one year in barrels (of which 30% new), the other half for two years in casks.

👃🏻 Nose Wow. Dried violet petals with lots of ripe and jammy berries such as raspberries, currants and blueberries, then smoky and herbaceous notes follow, especially of laurel with hints of minerals and dark spices. Chocolate and liquorice on the finish

👅 The taste is insanely elegant with a clear balance between freshness and minerality, the tannin is noble, the structure important and the finish long

👍🏻 Serving temperature 16°-20°

💕 Grilled meat

😍 Cabernet Franc to the nth degree

Rezines, Loire

The Domaine is named after the hill on which it stands, a few kilometres from Poitou, in the Touraine appellation.

Vines have been cultivated here for three centuries, and since 1985 the owner has been François Plouzeau, who converted the farm to biodynamic agriculture in 1993.

There are 20 hectares under vine, all tended without the use of synthetic chiamications. In fact, spray preparations such as 500 and 501 are used, as well as cumulus, macerated herbs such as nettle, yarrow, valerian and dandelion. The aim is to impart vitality to the plant and strengthen it.

In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous with autotonic yeasts and homeopathic amounts of sulphur dioxide added before bottling.

The result is wines that represent the purest expression of this wonderful terroir, subtle and intriguing
