From a micro plot of sandy soil. Ungrafted vines, saplings planted 1 meter x 1 meter (10,000 vines per hectare). Vinified in wooden vats. Only 900 bottles produced. Purest and most unmediated expression of Cabernet Franc.
It opens with Violet, then Currant, Blueberry and Raspberry, slightly smoky notes and great minerality
Fine and elegant, tasty sip, with barely noticeable tannin and persistent flavor.

Domaine Des Roches Neuves was born thanks to the incredible tenacity and will of Thierry German who, originally from Bordeaux, moved to Saumur in the early 1990s where he met his mentor and spiritual father Charly Foucault of Clos Rougeard.
Thierry Germain was one of the 2.0 pioneers of the biodynamic movement in the entire area, and is now rightfully among the best biodynamic companies in all of France.
The Domaine offers many variations of the Saumur Champigny denomination, and the main grape variety is Cabernet Franc, but be careful, you could easily fall in love with an unusual wine, produced with Chenin Blanc, called the Insolite, the house white.
