When Dominique (Philippe’s great-grandfather, current owner of the estate) purchased the Domaine du Cros in 1882, it was the beginning of a beautiful love story between a special terroir and a family of enthusiasts, the Teuliers (whose ancestors were already winemakers in ‘Aveyron).

Only in 1964 did the first bottling arrive, featuring Lo Sang del Pais, which became legendary throughout the Vallon de Marcillac.

Over the years, Domaine du Cros continues to grow exponentially, and now has 34 hectares of vineyards.

Since 2006, Julien, the fifth generation of winemakers at the Domaine, has carried on the family tradition with a clear impulse towards organic and natural products.

Aveyron, a little-traveled area in the South-West of France, hides small jewels like this Marcillac. Continental climate, terraces and red calcareous soil rich in iron characterize an isolated and sparsely populated area at the foot of the Central Massif, between mountains and high hills, which lives mainly from agriculture.
