🛁 Da vigne tra i 50 e i 90 anni piantate su pendii ripidi con due diversi tipi di terreno: ghiaioso-calcareo alla sommità e rosso del Parmiano al fondo. Macerazione di 35 giorni in acciaio e successiva maturazione in grandi tini di legno di oltre 30 anni. Il vino viene imbottigliato due anni dopo la vendemmia.

When Dominique (great-grandfather of Philippe, the current owner of the estate) bought the Domaine du Cros in 1882, it was the beginning of a beautiful love affair between a special terroir and a family of enthusiasts, the Teulier family (whose ancestors were already winegrowers in Aveyron).
It was not until 1964 that the first bottling took place, with Lo Sang del Pais becoming legendary throughout the Vallon de Marcillac.
Nel corso degli anni il Domaine du Cros continua a crescere in maniera esponenziale, ed ora conta ben 34 ettari vitati, tutti a Fer Sevadou.
Since 2006, Julien, the fifth generation of winemakers at the Domaine, has been carrying on the family tradition with a clear focus on organic and natural methods.
L’Aveyron, zona ben poco battuta nel Sud-Ovest della Francia, nasconde dei piccoli gioielli come questo Marcillac. Clima continentale, terrazzamenti e terreno calcareo rosso ricco di ferro caratterizzano una zona isolata e poco popolata ai piedi del Massiccio Centrale, tra montagna e alta collina, che vive prevalentemente di agricoltura. Domaine du Cros produce solo Marcillac e il vitigno utilizzato è il Fer Servadou, parente del Carménère, chiamato anche Mansois.
