Domaine Les Malandes is based in Chablis and has belonged to the Marchive family who owns vineyards since 1972.
in the best positions of the “première cru” and “grand cru” and produces elegant and long-lived wines, maximum expression
of the territory. There are 29 hectares of vineyards divided as follows: 3.85Ha of Petit Chablis -15.96Ha of Chablis – 7.70Ha of Chablis 1er cru – 1.30Ha of Chablis Grand Cru. The oenologist Guènolè Breteaudeau has been responsible for the winemaking since 2006.
The main objective of Domaine Les Malandes in the production of its wines is to enhance the great ones
peculiarities of a unique “Terroir”. Only organic fertilizers are used in the vineyard and particular care is taken to prevent diseases. Some plots are worked with a horse, which allows for a
great soil aeration. ‘Curetage’ is carried out in the vineyard to extend the life of the vines sometimes affected by the bait.
During winemaking the objective is to let each individual terroir express its personality. The
alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are done in 228 liter wooden barrels which vary from first to seventh
passage and/or 500 l wooden barrels depending on the parcel of origin and the vintage.
