Gioia del Colle Primitivo Riserva 2019
Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation carried out spontaneously with maceration in stainless steel at controlled temperature for 15-20 days. Refinement 12 months in steel and another 12 in 750-litre Slavonian oak casks with music therapy to encourage micro-oxygenation and refinement of the Primitivo. No clarification, stabilisation or filtration. The nose is ultra-complex: wilted violet, then red fruits, black cherry, plum and blackberry. This is followed by notes of undergrowth and very mineral and briny returns. Then more carob and cloves, typical of the Primitivi aged in wood in Gioia del Colle. Aromatic herbs and spices on the finish. Round and warm but incredibly slender in the mouth, velvety tannins, savoury and very long. Almondy on the finish.

Ihe Primitivo is the only grape variety in the Mediterranean basin to provide a second harvest: the racemes, from which a less full-bodied fruit is obtained but with very intense fragrances, perfect for this Rosé, obtained from the must before pressing. Maceration for only 30 hours and fermentation in steel. Pink and Purple, Red fruits such as cherry and berries, then mineral and balsamic notes. Fresh and agile, savoury on the palate, with just a hint of tannin, pleasantly almondy on the finish

Le uve, resa 40/50 quintali per ettaro, vengono vinificate naturalmente senza diraspatura, macerano 12 ore sulle bucce e successivamente affinano in acciaio per 6 mesi, poi 3 mesi di bottiglia. Fiori bianchi e frutta tropicale come Mango ed Ananas, ma anche Mela Verde, poi il Miele, minerale con ritorni iodati. Ricco e dinamico al palato, fresco e sapido, con un piacevole finale minerale

The story of Cantina Fatalone is a romantic one, in every sense of the word.
Not only love for wine but also for women, and it was because of this last passion that Nicola Petrera, the future founder of the company, took the nickname Fatalone at the end of the 18th century.
Now, after five generations of winemakers, Pasquale, his great-grandson, is at the helm of the winery. He proposes an idea of natural wine that respects the land, characterised by marine fossils and breezes from the Adriatic and Ionian seas.
Acertified organic farming, no irrigation, spontaneous grassing with green manure, spontaneous fermentation with maceration in steel tanks
The wines benefit from strong temperature fluctuations and manage to be full-bodied yet very fresh.
