The Vigna del Sorbo Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is an extraordinary red wine obtained from Sangiovese grapes from Vigna del Sorbo, South-Western exposure with vines over 55 years old. The approach is biodynamic/organic and in the cellar the grapes are carefully selected, they ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks where they macerate for 3 weeks. Aged for 24 months in non-first passage barriques, it is bottled with a homeopathic dose of sulfur dioxide, and rests in glass for a few months. Vigna del Sorbo Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is a highly evolved wine with notes of berries – cherry, raspberry and currant – in jam and earthy memories of undergrowth, then mint and cardamom, dark spices and coffee arrive. In the mouth it is full and tasty, still fresh and with bold, long and loving tannins. Try it with a steak at least 3 fingers thick!

Wild berries in jam and floral notes, dark spices and balsamic hints of mint and cardamom, undergrowth, coffee and great minerality
Despite its age, it is lively and enterprising, savory and with present but gentle tannins, the finish is long and rounded, very elegant.

Exuberant like its tannin, despite the years behind it, what a wine!
