Fleurie 2022 Chateau de Grand Prè

Fleurie is a red wine produced by Chateau de Grand Prè in Villiè Morgon in Beaujolais, and obtained from pure Gamay grapes, harvested manually and coming from vines over 70 years old, on granitic and sandy soil. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and macerations for approximately 2 weeks, aging for 7 months in demi muids. Fleurie releases hints of fresh red fruits, notes of undergrowth, herbaceous and floral memories, in the mouth it is refined and reassuring, soft and long. Finally a perfect red wine with pizza

The grapes come from plants between 60 and 70 years old positioned on sandy and granitic soil with exposure to the South, South-East. The harvest is carried out manually, the fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, the wine macerates for 10-15 days and subsequently matures for 7 months in demi-muids, 600 liter barrels.

Rose petals, raspberry, morello cherry and cherry with herbaceous notes

The sip is elegant and warm, soft but at the same time fresh, the tannins are noble and the finish is long

Family-run winery that has been handed down for generations and in 2012 Romain Zordan took the reins, and in 2018 Alexandre Jakovljevitch joined him. The company is in Provence but part of the vineyards, those that interest us, are located between Fleurie and Villié Morgon, certified organic since 2012.
