An incredible love story between the vine and Franciacorta, dating back to prehistoric times, thanks to the discovery of grape seeds of extraordinary age.

In the following era we have testimonies from imported classical Latin authors, such as Pliny and Virgil, who already praised its wines; subsequently it is thanks to the Benedictine Nuns of Breciano that the tradition continued to live, in fact it seems that these nuns were as accustomed to prayer as they were to growing vines.

From the sixteenth century onwards, Mordace (spicy) wine appeared, the precursor of the fine bubbles of today, and the abundant production began to no longer be aimed solely at internal consumption.

1961 is a historic date, the first 3000 bottles of Franciacorta sparkling wine were produced, with the classic method technique; they are baptized as “Pinot di Franciacorta” and for the first time the name of the geographical indication of the area appears on the label of a wine.

The base was made up of the widespread Pinot Blanc, which at the time was used for the production of still white wines; curiously it now replaces Pinot Meunier in the blend.

History is changing quickly and we are proud to offer you something that is very close to being defined as the Franciacorta Method.

The idea is that to obtain a great wine it is necessary to harvest grapes at phenolic ripeness, and in our selection you will have the opportunity to taste pure ones, without the addition of exogenous sugars (sucrose or MCR), obtained only from ripe grapes and from grape juice.
