Franciacorta 3 Bottles
Digital data sheets sent by email
An incredible love story between the vine and Franciacorta, dating back to prehistoric times, thanks to the discovery of grape seeds of extraordinary age.
In the following epoch we have testimonies of imported Latin classical authors, such as Pliny and Virgil, who already praised the wines; later it is thanks to the Benedictine Nuns of Breciano if the tradition has continued to live, it seems in fact that these nuns were accustomed to prayer as much as to the cultivation of the vine.
From the sixteenth century onwards, Mordace (spicy) wine appeared, the forerunner of the prized bollecine of our day, and production, which was abundant, began to be directed no longer only at domestic consumption.
1961 is a historic date, the first 3000 bottles of Franciacorta sparkling wine are produced, using the classic method technique; they are baptized as "Pinot di Franciacorta" and for the first time the name of geographical indication of the area appears on the label of a wine.
The base was the popular Pinot Blanc, which at the time was used to make still white wines; curiously, it now replaces Pinot Meunier in the blend.
History is changing fast and we are proud to offer you something that comes very close to being defined as Metodo Franciacorta.
The idea is that in order to obtain a great wine it is necessary to harvest the grapes at phenolic maturity, and in our selection you will have the opportunity to taste pure ones, without added exogenous sugars (Sucrose or MCR), obtained from only ripe grapes and grape juice.
