San Floriano del Collio
Franco Terpin is a son of art and has always worked on the family estate in San Floriano del Collio, on the easternmost border of Friuli.
At the beginning of the 70s he personally dealt with the production of grapes, taking over from his father, initially continuing to supply them and about 20 years later taking the turning point of his life, that of labeling his own wine.
The company consists of 10 hectares, also including the Cru Stamas, which rest on soil rich in ponka, a mix of sandstone and marl, perfect for the cultivation of grapes such as Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio, Friulano, Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Franco’s idea of wine is absolutely natural, from the vineyard to the cellar, in fact no chemical substances are used and the winemaking takes place through long macerations, spontaneous fermentations and native yeasts, with long refinements in wood and without clarification or filtration.
Only homeopathic doses of copper and sulfur are used to combat downy mildew and powdery mildew
The result is astonishing wines, proud children of a magnificent territory, ready to amaze even the most demanding palate
