Georgia is by far one of the oldest wine regions in the world, it is estimated that the first cultivations date back to the Neolithic era, therefore approximately 8000 years ago.

At the time the populations of the southern Caucasus discovered that the juice of wild grapes, if buried and left to rest inside the clay vases that we know today as Qvevri (or Amphorae), could become a convivial and good drink to drink.

The rest is history, they are the undisputed homeland of Orange wine.
