Gols, Austria
Judith Beck is one of the most talented winemakers we have ever come across and owns 20 hectares in Burgenland, between Vienna and Hungary.
The production area is between Lake Neusiedel and the Parndorfer Platte, 200 km of flat terrain characterised by strong winds and soils rich in clay, sand and gravel.
The result is complex, multifaceted wines that proudly express their identity with the land, authentic and genuine, made from local indigenous varieties such as Zweigelt, Blaufrankisch and Weissburgunder.
Judith has been producing biodynamically since 2007, her approach to wine is non-interventionist, reluctant to use chemicals at any stage of the production chain.
