Ancestral 2020Cot 45%, Gamay 45%, Gascon 10% - Two Bottles
From free-range vines of Gamay planted in 1978, Côt (an alternative name for Malbec) planted in 2003 and Gascon from 2006. Grown on clay and silica-based soils, the grapes are hand-picked between late September and early October. A week of maceration and spontaneous fermentation for 15 days to 1 month without temperature control. The wine then spends 18 months in barrique. Unfiltered.

From Menu Pineau vines planted in 1958. Manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation for 15/30 days in old barrels, no batonnage and no invasive interventionism. In a word: original, very original indeed.

Ottenuto da viti di circa 50 anni poggiati su un terreno superficialmente siliceo, con Argilla e Silex in profondità. Le uve sono raccolte a mano tra fine Settembre ed inizio Ottobre, fermentano spontaneamente in vecchie botti di rovere dove poi maturano per 15 mesi. Nessuna filtrazione né chiarifica. Speziato e molto minerale, balsamico con ritorni di menta e sottobosco, floreale con note di frutta rossa matura. Profondo e strutturato, fresco e minerale, il tannino è gentile ed il finale piacevolissimo
