Jurançon La Magendia 2020 Clos Lapeyre

Jurançon La Magendia is a sweet wine produced by Clos Lapeyre in Jurançon, in New Aquitaine and obtained from Gros and Petit Manseng grapes harvested manually between November and December. The must has such a sugar concentration that it continues fermentation for approximately 18 months. Jurançon La Magendia is a marvel with hints of hazelnut and melted butter on the nose, of grandmother’s cake, of honey. In the mouth it is soft and buttery, yet fresh and persistent. We are located in Jurançon, practically Pau, therefore very close to the Pyrenees, the company extends over 17 hectares, all organic, whose annual production stands at around 60,000 bottles.

Initially a farm for the breeding of livestock, the production of fruit and vegetables and the production of grapes to sell to the local cooperative, Clos Lapeyre has become a real winery since 1985.
