Kojsko, Brda (Slovenia)
The Stekar family has been producing wine since the end of the seventeenth century and Janko is the last generation of the family, carrying on centuries-old traditions and doing so with his partner Tamara.
The company consists of 5 hectares on territories rich in ponca, cultivated naturally, with organic treatments and macerated plants offered by the rich biodiversity of the Brda. So even in the cellar their philosophy is hardly interventionist, with the use of native yeasts, consequent spontaneous fermentation and homeopathic doses, when necessary, of pre-bottling sulfur dioxide.
Thanks to the ancient techniques of vine breeding and winemaking Janko is able to obtain authentic and strongly evocative wines of the terroir, rich in personality and inimitable
