The Stekar family has been making wine since the end of the 17th century, and Janko is the latest generation of the family, carrying on centuries-old traditions with his partner Tamara.
The winery consists of 5 hectares on land rich in ponca, cultivated in a natural way, with organic treatments and maceration of plants offered by the rich biodiversity of Brda. In the cellar, too, their philosophy is sparingly interventionist, using indigenous yeasts, resulting in spontaneous fermentation and homeopathic doses, when necessary, of pre-bottling sulphur dioxide.
Thanks to ancient vine training and winemaking techniques, Janko is able to produce authentic wines strongly evocative of terroir, rich in personality and inimitable
